Tea Leaf Green is playing the Charleston Pourhouse on James Island Saturday September 12, 2009.
Tea Leaf Green is a band from San Francisco, CA, which uses finely crafted songs mixed with exploding rock rhythms to create an exceptional live show that should not be missed. The band is made up of Josh Clark on guitar and vocals, Trevor Garrod on keyboards and vocals, Reed Mathis on bass and vocals, and Scott Rager on drums and percussion. I have seen them live a number of times and have always left smiling. Very few bands can achieve the level of jam that will be on display at the pourhouse. They are giants in the jam-band scene and I compare them to Phish or String Cheese Incident. They compare themselves to My Morning Jacket, Wolfmother, and the Raconteurs. They have shared the stage with the Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Gov’t Mule, Bruce Hornsby, John Popper, Bob Weir, Sean Lennon and many others. Experience Tea Leaf Green for yourself…and enjoy the journey. The opening band is Gaslight Street who is worth the price of admission themselves. This will surely be a fantastic show.
