We’ll be raising funds & awareness for Warrior Surf Foundation at the 7th Annual Follywood Oyster Roast at the Brick House Jan. 30. We’ve doubled the amount of oysters we’re ordering this year, we’re setting up some satellite speed bars, bringing in parking attendants & working on an Uber discount code for anyone wanting to cab it there & back. Our food truck is Charleston Caribbean Creole (Caribbean, Creole & Cajun fare) & they’re bringing their dessert truck as well. The Brick House will also be offering its full menu from 4-10 p.m. The event is family-friendly, and kids 10 & under get in free. We’ll have some kids activities as well, like jump castles, carnival games, etc.
“This year’s lineup may be our best yet. The Piedmont Boys blew the crowd away last year, so we knew we were bringing them back. Guilt Ridden Troubadour was the first band we worked with in Charleston, and they play this party almost every year. The Royal Tinfoil and Josh Roberts & The Hinges are two of my personal favorite local touring bands, and it wouldn’t be a Follywood party without having Folly Beach properly represented, so Deadwin and Don’t Mess with the Tiger gave us a mix of local diversity that really put it over the top.”
“Instead of throwing a Christmas or holiday party, we’ve always liked having ours about a month after New Year’s, when everyone’s had a chance to recover from all that. And it’s always a rager – ‘Good times for a good cause’.”
Main Stage:
8:30-10pm The Royal Tinfoil
