"We've had so much support with this event the past five years, and not just locally. Folks have traveled from as far away as Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana over the years, and that always makes for an intriguing mix. Actors, authors, pro athletes, politicians, musicians on a tour break, our friends and families - you never really know who's gonna show up for the Follywood Anniversary Oyster Roast. That's part of what makes it such a fantastic time."As for this year's artists, Daryl Hance is JJ Grey's co-founder in nationally known swamp rock sensation MOFRO, The Travelin' Kine is defending Charleston City Paper Americana Artist of the Year, The Piedmont Boys are one of the state's top touring alt-country artists, BYOG is a local favorite and mainstay in area's most popular music venues, and Sunflowers & Sin are an up-and-coming all-female folk-rock trio making a name for themselves around town.
